2021 Bishop's Annual Appeal

Bishop’s Annual Appeal

The Bishop’s Annual Appeal is a primary source of funding to help sustain and expand ministries in the 94 parishes, 20 missions, and 34 Catholic schools and agencies throughout the diocese. As stewards of God’s gifts, you are asked to support the needs of our diocese through your PRAYERS. You are also asked to share your gifts and talents by PARTICIPATING in parish or diocesan ministries. Finally, all members of our diocese are invited to grow in GENEROSITY by making a sacrificial gift through a pledge or a one-time donation.

Your gift to the Bishop’s Annual Appeal helps to sustain Catholic schools, parishes, programs of religious education and campus ministry, and initiatives to foster vocations as well as respect for life. Additionally, through its support of Catholic Charities, the Appeal serves people in South Carolina and abroad whose lives are affected by natural disasters, illnesses, hunger, and economic hardship.

Bishop’s Prayer

Loving and merciful God, You gave us Jesus, Your only Son, to be our Savior, Redeemer, Brother, and Friend.

Inspire us with the gift of Your Holy Spirit, to recall our baptismal promise to be like Christ, by sharing our gifts of time, talent, and treasure with our brothers and sisters in need.

As we undertake our annual appeal, “Walk Humbly with Your God,” we ask for Your guidance as we strive to fulfill these promises that we offer up to You.

Give us the grace and understanding to carry out Your will as we faithfully continue Christ’s mission here in South Carolina.

With Mary, we ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen

St. Ann's Parish Response to the Bishop's Annual Appeal

Third Sunday of Easter

April 18, 2021

"Thanks to your efforts throughout this first quarter, we are chipping away at the $4,000,000 diocesan overall goal for the 2021 Bishop’s Annual Appeal!"

As of the end of March 2021, Saint Ann’s has collected $10,545.00 (representing 58.50% of our goal collected, with $1,745.00 of those pledges outstanding) against our annual goal of $18,026.00 with 38 St. Ann families making pledges and donations.

Fifth Sunday of Lent

March 21, 2021

"Thank you all for the effort put forth during the annual February rollout of the 2021 Bishop’s Annual Appeal. Through the end of February 2021, the diocese had collected $1,422,657 on our diocesan goal of $4,000,000."

To date, Saint Ann’s has collected $6,210.00, representing 34.45% (of our goal collected, with $1,800 in those pledges outstanding) against our annual goal of $18,026.00 with 21 families making pledges and donations.

We have 250 families here at Saint Ann’s.  Two targets we have in reaching our goal of $18,026.00 this year is to strive to achieve 100% of our parish goal with a parish participation of 100% at any level of contribution of all families.

Thank you for your continued support of the 2021 Bishop’s Annual Appeal.
